Customers with 3rd and 4th generation iPad Pros have expressed great interest in being able to experience Stage Manager on their iPads. Offering this multi-screen support is only possible with the full power of M1-based iPads. Introducing Stage Manager as a completely new way to multitask with overlapping and resized windows on both the iPad screen and a separate external display, with the ability to run up to eight live apps on the screen at once. While on iPads with the M1 chip we can have up to 8 applications open at the same time, on previous iPads we can only have 4 apps, which is not bad at all.
